Chicago Bears Present New Concession Innovations in Partnership with Levy Restaurants for 2024 Season

Writer: Portia KingPortia King

Built in 1924 and home to the Chicago Bears since 1971, Soldier Field has housed fans for premier game day experiences for over 50 years. Between the tailgating, roaring crowds, scenic lakefront location and fun range of weather conditions, one of the main factors of the experience is the food offerings at the stadium. Thanks to the Bears' new partnership with Levy Restaurants, fans will not only have refreshed menu options but have access to new technology at concession stands for faster quality service.

This season Bears fans can expect to see a huge redesign with self checkout installations at each concession stand. This new innovative technology will make the purchasing process three times faster than previous years, substantially shortening wait times for food and beverage during the games.

“I think fans are going to see things that are going to make them really happy,” said Andy Lansing, President and CEO of Levy Restaurants. “We know that there’s a lot going on on the field…this is a renaissance in a way for the Bears, and for us to be a part of it with the off the field experience and try to match what’s going to be so insanely cool on the field is a great challenge for us.”

To complement the faster service, Executive Chef of Soldier Field, Ryan Craig, has crafted new and tasty menu offerings to boost this season’s culinary offerings. In addition to the traditional hot dogs, chicken strips and italian sausage, here are a few new menu items to look to:

  • Odunze Dog - Jalapeño cheddar dog with Italian beef, giardiniera, spicy Chicago secret sauce, and cheese crisp crumbles

  • Carne Asada Waffle Fries - Waffle cut fries, queso blanco, ancho marinated steak, pico de gallo and lime crema

  • Pork Chopp’d Sandwich - Brown sugar, barbeque-glazed pork, chopped bacon, and cucumber relish on a toasted butter roll

  • The Bear Claw Pretzel - Giant warm salted pretzel with various dip options

  • The Bear Paw Donut - Chocolate iced donut, vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, toffee pieces, orange and blue chocolate candies and whipped cream

  • The Honey Bear - A refreshing lemonade, simply syrup and honey glazed rim (served with vodka as well)

Food options for any pescatarian and plant based fans can be found in sections 143 and 144. “The areas are strategically placed…so it’s a destination people can go to and it’s easy for all of the staff to remember [ and direct attendees],” said Chef Ryan. “We’re offering both gluten free and vegetarian options in both the form of a burger and a hot dog.” Fans will also be able to purchase vegetarian alternatives sprinkled throughout the stadium at other food zones as well.

The 2024 Chicago Bears season kicks off this Sunday, September 8th. Visit here for more information on the Chicago Bears.
