The Gifts for Guardians Toy Drive returns for a second year inviting parents and guardians to hand select and wrap toys to give their child(ren) on Christmas Day. This unique holiday experience includes complimentary toys, gift wrapping supply stations, refreshments, music, and on-site child supervision. The Gifts for Guardians Toy Drive will take place Saturday, December 16, 2022 from 12 PM to 3 PM at Johnson College Prep (6350 S. Stewart St., Chicago, IL 60621). Attendees must register by December 14th to participate.
“Our goal is to empower parents and alleviate financial stress by providing them with the ability to give their children cool and fun toys on Christmas,” said Portia King, Founder of Gifts for Guardians Toy Drive. “We are very excited to return for a third year of Gifts for Guardians. It’s such an amazing experience that positively impacts not only children, but their parents and entire household.”
This event is made possible thanks to generous toy donations from Chi Gives Back and various local community businesses and contributors. “We are excited to support the Gifts for Guardian’s toy drive with 100 toys for this year’s participants,” said ChiGivesBack Founder, John Boddie.
Given the rising unemployment rate and economic hardships that millions of Americans are currently experiencing, the Gifts for Guardians Toy Drive aims to be a resource this holiday season.
